Westfield Water Safe According To Mayor

Results of recent water well tests in  Westfield are being shared with the public.

An investigation into  whether 22 private wells were impacted by the release of per-fluorinated  chemicals, or PFCs, into the groundwater was conducted by the  Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and Barnes Air  National Guard.

A statement from the Westfield mayor's office says no  PFCs have been detected "above the laboratory reporting level" in eight  wells that have been completely tested.

The results are being posted on  the city's website.
