MSPCA Investigates Animal Cruelty Charges In Berkshires

The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is caring for 18 horses that were rescued from a property in Berkshire County.

The horses were taken to Nevins Farm in Methuen on Monday after being removed from the town of Alford.

Alford is just outside of Pittsfield.

The MSPCA says this is the largest surrender of horses in at least five years.

Meantime, officials say they can't comment on the status of the investigation.
